The perfect travel & minimalist duo, ย Mel (25) & Lea (24) started traveling together almost 9 months ago around entire Eurasia. This French couple has walked a long journey with their self-converted camper van. However, two years ago they have bought the Iveco 35-10 from 1991 and named it โJackโ.
It takes 6 months to build the interior and make some custom details. Above all, Mel & Lea put all of their effort and money in โJackโ to bring their imaginary home alive.ย In other words, the total cost of the build was 8000โฌ (US$9223) and the van itself 5500โฌ (US$6340).
After 4 months on the road and 5 months stuck in Laos because of Covid-19, our home is getting better and better, we always add new convenient or pretty items.

Moreover, Mel is a roofer and Lea is an interior designer. So it was their dream to build their own house on wheels. Meanwhile, they had the chance to get all of the wood from Melโs uncleโs forest to finish the van. Likewise, With the help of their friends and family members the van was ready to hit the road.
But not everything goes as per the plan. Unfortunately, their gearbox was broken 2 weeks before the planned itinerary. The interesting thing here is, they have used the time to fix quite a few things on their van like gas, electricity before leaving France.
However, the Jack (their van) features a powerful solar system, big water tank, water filters, and a small 12v fridge that works perfectly even when itโs 40ยฐC in the van.
