Family of Four Living in a 399 sq ft Park Model Tiny House!

Hanna lives in a 399 sq ft tiny house with her husband and two little boys in Houston, TX. Before going tiny they lived in a 1000 sq foot apartment! However, the couple decided to start a debt-free journey right when they first got married.

But they had no clue where they wanted to purchase a house, so they started seriously looking into it. Finally, Hanna and her husband decided to go tiny together. Hanna is a stay-at-home mom and her husband is an engineer that works from home.

My advice would be that you will never feel ready to make such a big move. If you’re considering it, I would say just take the leap. You learn so much as you go and that is the fun part about this lifestyle!

Like as mentioned before, their tiny house is bigger than most at 399 sq ft. It is technically an RV park model meaning that it is wider than most. It is possible to relocate the small dwelling, but this will require getting a permit. Willis, Texas is where it is currently located, and the family has lived there for over two years.

They purchased it from RRC in Rockwall, Texas, and it was already built, so they didn’t have to go through the building process. Above all, It cost around $65k. Apart from that, Hanna would highly recommend having high ceilings and windows just to help with space, as the couple enjoys them.

For Hanna, the most challenging part of living with two young boys has been the noise level! “We have invested in multiple sound machines haha,” said Hanna. I hope you will be inspired by Hanna’s story. If you wish to join Hanna on her tiny living adventure or have any queries, you can contact her on Instagram @tinyhomestone.
